Excuses? Or....Excuses!!

Thursday started off like a normal day...blah blah blah. Chris wanted me to take a cycling test to check up on my fitness. I started the warm up and felt horrible...like I wanted to throw up! Weird. I proceded to start the test and felt OK until it got hard. I suffered and felt horrible (which is normal) but I wasn't even near where I should be. My watts were too low to be suffering like this. I rode until I couldn't hold the watts any longer, I ran and threw my head in the toilet. I didn't get sick, but thought I would. I obviously worked hard, but why were my results so crappy?
I sent my files to Chris...he emailed me, "NO GOOD! You'll have to do it again in two days." Not what I was hoping to hear. Add insult to the misery.
I was off to teach my spinning class. Still didn't feel good. I tried to motivate my group as I felt horrible and hollow. I had a pool of sweat under my bike, but felt like I was going to pass out at any time. Driving home, I began to shake and shiver...oh no what's this? Well, after shaking, shivering and moaning in a ball for an hour it started. I began to throw up...all night into the next day. I actually smiled at one point after pulling my head out of the toilet, b/c ah ha! That's why I sucked so badly on the cycling test.....I'm sick!! Thank God. Trust me, it didn't feel good to be that sick, but I needed to know there was a reason for that bad test besides horrible fitness.
Bill wanted to take pictures of me curled in a ball crying, but I shot daggers out of my bloodshot eyes at him. So thankfully, no photos to post this time!
Unfortunately, little Maddie seems to have the virus now. Poor baby. She's much tougher than her Mommy, though.
Take your vitamins and wash your hands!!

Heather, In for penny, in for a pound. Don't you know? Your growing fan club wants it all. Shame on you for scolding Bill with your dagger like eyes. You got us glued to your training and racing anedotes. Don't just give us the thrill of victory. Cough it up girl. First, Lance won't tell us about him and Sheryl flaming up again. Now your closing us out too. loosen up Gallie

You are too funny, Dan! I hope to be out there with you guys this coming weekend. Hills on Sat and then maybe I'll ride out with you guys on Sunday.
24 hrs after pulling my head out of the toilet for the last time, I climbed back into the saddle for some easy miles. Did some good efforts today and will RE-TEST tomorrow!!!
